Feed Me Fridays: Homemade Trail Mix of sorts
If you’d like to see the finished product of my cookie jars for the boys’ birthday party, then head over to Style Lush to see! What do you think?
*********
This is not rocket science people, but it is good and good for you.
The boys’ birthday party is this Sunday and the chance of rain is still looming heavily over the day. I’ve still got a lot to do to get organized even though I’ve been at this all week. I haven’t made any fantabulous dinners or dessert as of late to share due to my time consuming events, so I bring you this, yummy breakfast without all that extra stuff in it. (Actually, that is wrong. I made brisket, potato casserole and a banana nut cake for Easter, but didn’t take any pictures. HELLO, distracted much?)
You can probably buy a box of this at the store and that’s all fine and dandy, but what do they add to the fruit? the nuts? I am not sure and that’s the problem.
Original Idea: Iowa Girl Eats
Here we’ve got Cheerios, Organic Dried Cranberries, Bananas and Sliced Almonds. And that’s it. It’s got great crunch, just enough sweet (especially when I throw on a tad bit of sugar) and it quite filling for breakfast.
Enjoy!
